Lil' Aubrey

The day to day ramblings of a newly adopted 6-month old girl, and all the wacky things that make up her life. If you even mention the fact that I'm too young to have a blog, I'm gonna' get cranky. You wouldn't like me cranky!

Here's The Latest News and Pictures

So, let's see....What's going on? Hmmm....LOTS! Here are some of my latest adventures:

1. I am almost officially adopted now. Mom & Dad are FINALLY signing the permanent placement papers on Wednesday, and so we should have a court date shortly after that so that I'm "official".

2. I still think I'm a dog, and though I don't eat dog food (much) anymore, I like to pour out the water dish and carry toys in my mouth. I also have perfected my growl, so that I can now walk over to the dog, growl at her, and she understands that she needs to give me her bone or chew toy immediately. I've also discovered that grabbing tuftfulls of dog hair is fun. If I grab a leg or a tail, it's mine and I'm not letting go.

3. I am going to daycare half-days twice a week and learning to socialize with others. Thanks to these other kids, I have learned to walk around screaming at the top of my lungs, run like the devil, walk backwards, and the fine art of stealing someone elses lunch (especially when it's leftover pizza). The most traumatic part of each day is when we have to come back inside the class after playing outside. I don't like that. I like to stay outside all the time, and if they'd just put a doghouse out there, I'd happily live outside.

4. Mmmmm. Boogers. Tasty treats 24/7. That's all I'm gonna say.

5. I've found a new game I like to play. It's called "under the bridge". I play it by hanging on to Mommy or Daddy's leg, going between their legs, around them, and then back through again. I play this game a long time. For some reason, Daddy has been getting really nervous each time I walk under him - especially when the top of my head brushes between his legs. He told me that if I grow another quarter inch, he's not going to play with me anymore. I don't understand what the big deal is, it's not like there is anything there anyways. I'm just going to keep lurching myself between his legs. He's such a chicken.

6. I'm also chattering a lot. Nothing that makes any sense, except to me and my man Elmo. I talk alot to my dolls too. And I know how to point at them and say "No, no, no!"....especially when they try to press the buttons on the TV or climb over the top of the couch.

That's it for now, so here are some pictures!

This is me right after I found my brother's small container of water-color paint. I'd already investigated the red and the blue paint on previous occassions. They thought they'd thrown away all of them so that it couldn't happen again. Needless to say, I was able to find the green one they missed!
Here is me trying to gag myself. You might have thought I was kidding when I told you I did this on almost a daily basis. Trust me. I wasn't kidding.

As you can see, it is a much better value to have two dogs growling at people walking by, than to only have one dog. Especially when the loudest barker is me.

When you have a face as cute as this, you can get away with murder. (If I do say so myself.)

What good are food cupboards, unless they also double as forts? Mom & Dad had to move the cereal boxes to a higher shelf, because I would find them on the lower shelf and bite through the cardboard to get to the cereal. Froot Loops, Cap'n Crunch & Cheerios are my favorites!

Dishwashers make for fun toys too, but you already know that, don't you?

When you have a brother as nice as mine, sometimes you are willing to share your blankie. It doesn't happen often, trust me - because I LOVE BLANKIES!!

Finding me usually isn't too hard. If I'm not in the den watching TV with you, I'm going upstairs to play in my brother's room. I know if I search hard enough, I'll find more paint. By the way, I still haven't figured out how to go down the stairs yet - it's much too scary.

You may want to step out for a few moments. You see these bubbles? They aren't bubbles. I've been farting for 5 minutes straight.

The end of another long day...
